well hellooooo neighbor!

A year ago I introduced you to one of our favorite northwest Hoboken residents - the famous corner ranch mystery. Well, it seems my argument to relocate now has a stronger case. A new neighbor has just popped up, right next door, and boy are they an over achiever or what?! Six stories of wonder!

Progress marches on, and there's something, just....well...I don't know.........oh maybe a weeee little bit awkward about the low-rise scale of this cute one story ranch. Although well maintained, we feel even stronger now that it may be time for her to pack it in and retire to Florida.

Just Sell Already! Or, maybe install a pool on your ranch roof, and the next door neighbor can put up a cool slide from their 6th floor perch? At least for summer maybe? Pool parties rule.

let her stay! how much can they build in this town?

I agree with anonymous. Seriously. It's painfully obvious that your only interest in this is wrapped up in dismay at what a modest, "although well maintained," home does to your own property values. Find something else to dwell on instead of cheerleading for every two-bit piece of brainless construction in this town.

A one story ranch completely surrounded by new mid-rise development is certainly fascinating to me. I can't imagine how they must feel living there and seeing such a transformation after all these years! A transformation that is literally butted up against there home and blocking out the sun completely. Please remember my blog is meant to be light hearted and amusing, which is the total opposite of your comment. Thanks for reading though!

That home was built for a WW2 Veteran who came home in a wheelchair and needed a barrier free ground level home. Not subsidized or tax abated like URSA /PUPIE's land grabs!

Story is typical of a cocky developer/ blogger and scumbag

for your information that home and family have been there for many years. No only the WW2 vet but a true american hero killed in Vietnam. I will not mention the names. True Hobokenites know who I mean. So F off and F the developement.

and also the one person commented for them to sell. Hoboken is what it is today because of families like that. I would rather see the old buildings that were there before the BS development started and the people that come with it.
